I was lucky this Christmas to have received the Back to the Future Delorian Lego kit from Santa and I wanted to make a post about the build.
As a kid, I was a huge fan of the movies. The story, characters, running jokes, music. Everything. All three of the movies were ingrained in my head.
So, when I had gotten the Lego kit, I was so excited to build it and here I am sharing the photos of the build.
The kit allows to you select from one of the three movies versions of the car. I’ve gone with Part Two featuring the Mr Fusion and futuristic license plate.
Further to this build, I was given the Lighting and Sound Mod which allows the car to further light and make sounds from the car and movie for added effect. I will update this once this has been completed.
The detail seen in some of the parts is exceptional when looking at the dashboard of the car, and the Flux Capacitor. In the book, you not only get the instructions for the build but some facts throughout the build about the making of the movie and the Deloeran. For example, to make the Flux Capacitor they’ve used a grappling hook from the Lego City kits inside of the casing.
If you’re a fan of the movies and love to build Lego, this kit is a must if you can get your hands on it.
Update: Light Kit Installed
The Light Kit for this Lego build provide unique lighting and sound effects for the Back to the Future Delorean. You select between going through time, Johnny Be Good, and The Power of Love.
Here’s the video of this completed.
While you’re at it, please leave a comment and check out my other blog posts!
I have this kit too, although not built yet as I’m trying to figure out where to keep it once built. 😉
We’re going to invest in a glass cabinet from Ikea for all out Lego builds. Running out of shelf space.
